How do I get a photo under 20 KB?

The tool lowers the JPG quality step by step and keeps the best version under 20 KB. If it is still too big at a reasonable minimum quality, the width and height are reduced. The new file size and pixel size are shown afterwards.

Will the quality drop a lot?

For ID and document photos the difference is usually invisible. With very small targets such as 20 KB the pixel size also shrinks, but faces and text stay readable.
