Passport & ID Photo Maker

Take a photo of yourself against a plain, light wall and Fotudio crops it to the passport or ID size you need at 300 DPI. You can also get a 10 × 15 cm (4 × 6 inch) sheet with as many copies as fit, with thin cut lines, to print at a photo shop or at home. Requirements such as background color, head size and how recent the photo must be differ by country and institution, so check the official rules before you use the photo.

How to use Passport & ID Photo Maker

  1. Choose a photo taken against a plain light background, with your face centered and some space above your head.
  2. Pick the size (for example 35 × 45 mm), the crop position and whether you also want a 10 × 15 cm print sheet.
  3. Click "Create ID photo", download the JPG files and print the sheet at 100% / actual size on 10 × 15 cm photo paper.

Frequently asked questions

Is the photo accepted for official documents?

Fotudio only crops the photo to the correct size at 300 DPI. Whether it is accepted depends on rules that differ by country and institution, such as background color, head size, facial expression and how recent the photo is. Please check those requirements yourself; we cannot guarantee acceptance.

Does the tool remove or change the background?

No. It does not remove or replace the background and does not detect faces. For the best result, stand in front of a plain white or light gray wall in even light, look straight at the camera and leave space above your head.

What does the crop position do?

"Top" keeps the upper part of the photo, so your head is not cut off when the photo is taller than the chosen format. "Center" crops evenly from all sides.

How many photos fit on the print sheet?

As many as fit on a 10 × 15 cm sheet with small gaps: for example 6 copies of 35 × 45 mm. Print at 100% or "actual size", not "fit to page", so the size stays exact.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The photo is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
