Batch Rename Photos

Give a whole folder of photos tidy, numbered names in one click, for example "wedding-001.jpg, wedding-002.jpg…". Photos are not re-compressed: quality and file size stay exactly the same, only the name changes. Download everything as one ZIP.

Your images stay on your device. Processing happens entirely in your browser.

How to use Batch Rename Photos

  1. Drop or choose all the photos you want to rename.
  2. Type a name pattern such as "holiday-{n}", choose the start number, digits and order.
  3. Click "Rename photos" and download the ZIP with the renamed files.

Frequently asked questions

Does renaming change the quality?

No. The image data is not touched at all; the files are byte-for-byte identical, only their names change.

What can I put in the name pattern?

{n} is the sequence number, {date} is the file date (YYYY-MM-DD) and {name} is the original file name. Example: "{date}-paris-{n}" gives 2026-07-14-paris-01.jpg.

In what order are the numbers given?

In the order you added the files, alphabetically by original name, or by file date (oldest first), whichever you choose.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser and your photos never leave your device.
