Favicon Generator

Turn your logo or a couple of letters into every icon a website needs: a multi-size favicon.ico, PNG icons for browsers, iPhone and Android, and a ready-made site.webmanifest. Everything comes in one ZIP, together with the HTML code to paste.

Your images stay on your device. Processing happens entirely in your browser.

How to use Favicon Generator

  1. Drop your logo (PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG), or click "Create from letters or emoji".
  2. Choose how the image fits, or type the letters and pick the shape and colours. Check the result in the browser-tab preview.
  3. Click "Create favicons", download the ZIP, upload the files to your site’s root folder and paste the HTML code into <head>.

Frequently asked questions

Which files are in the ZIP?

favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px in one file), favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180 px), android-chrome-192x192.png, android-chrome-512x512.png and site.webmanifest. That covers all current browsers, iPhone and iPad home screens, and Android.

Where do I put the files?

Upload them to the root folder of your website (next to index.html) and paste the copied <link> tags into the <head> of your pages. If you put them in a subfolder, change the paths in the code and in site.webmanifest.

What kind of image works best?

A square, simple logo with a transparent background and no small text, because fine details disappear at 16 px. To cut a logo out of its background use Remove Background; to make it square use Crop Image. An SVG gives the sharpest result at every size, and SVG Optimizer can make it smaller first.

Can I use an emoji?

Yes. Choose "Create from letters or emoji" and type up to three characters, for example your initials or a single emoji. Emojis are drawn with your device’s emoji font, so they look slightly different on Windows, Mac and Android.

Why does the iPhone icon have a filled background?

iOS shows transparent parts of home-screen icons as black, so apple-touch-icon.png always gets a full square background: your chosen colour for letters, white for images. iOS rounds the corners itself.

Is my image uploaded?

No. All icons are drawn in your browser and your image never leaves your device.
