Enhance Video Quality

Videos shot at night or in dim light look dark, grainy and washed out. Drop your video and pick “Night video”: Fotudio looks at each frame together with its neighbors to remove grain, brightens dark areas without blowing out lights, corrects color casts and sharpens the picture. The resolution stays the same, or you can upscale to 2K or 4K.

Your images stay on your device. Processing happens entirely in your browser.

How to use Enhance Video Quality

  1. Drop or choose your video (MP4, MOV, WebM).
  2. Pick a preset: “Night video” for night shots. The preview shows the original on the left and the result on the right.
  3. Tap “Enhance Video” and download the improved MP4. The sound is kept as it is.

Frequently asked questions

How do I brighten a dark video I shot at night?

The “Night video” preset brightens dark areas, removes grain and keeps bright spots such as street lights from blowing out. For a stronger or lighter effect, choose “Custom” and adjust the “Brighten” and “Noise reduction” sliders; the preview updates right away.

Does the video resolution change?

Not by default: a 1080p video stays 1080p, only cleaner and sharper. To make it bigger, choose 2×, 1080p, 2K or 4K under “Size”.

Does it work on a phone, and how long does it take?

Yes. Processing runs on your phone’s graphics chip and hardware video encoder. The time depends on the device and the length of the video, and you see the progress while it runs. Keep the page open until it finishes; Fotudio keeps the screen from turning off.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Your video never leaves your device; everything happens in your browser. There is no upload wait for big files, and private footage stays private.

Can it fully fix a blurry or very dark video?

Grain, darkness, dull colors and slight softness improve clearly. Details that were never captured (such as a far-away license plate) and motion blur from a shaky hand cannot be recovered.
